Interim Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness

As the Interim Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Jennifer supports the college improvement processes by providing strategic planning support and data to guide decision making.  Jennifer serves as the college’s accreditation liaison officer to the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).  Jennifer works closely with the leadership team to ensure that WVC maintains accreditation while also fostering a campus-wide culture of data-informed assessment and continuous improvement. 

Jennifer has worked as a part-time faculty in the Biology program at WVC since 2017.  Jennifer was voted the part-time faculty of the year award from the Foundation in the 21-22 and 24-25 academic years. Along with teaching, Jennifer worked with the Assessment Coordinator Team and participated in the 4th cohort of the NWCCU fellowship on accreditation.  Jennifer has also helped faculty and staff with grant writing resulting in 11 successful grant applications securing over $4.4 million in three years from WA Economic Security Department, State Board of Community and Technical Colleges, National Science Foundation, and US Department of Education.   

Prior to joining WVC in 2017, Jennifer worked in natural resources management for over 20 years developing transferable skills in project management including budget management, securing grant funds, technical writing, communication skills, and problem solving. 

Jennifer has a BS in Zoology from University of Washington and a MS in Botany from Oregon State University.
